RECORD HIGH 47 MILLION ON FOOD STAMPS

For some strange reason, the same day the disputed 7.8% unemployment figure hit the "news" talk show circuits, the fact that 46.7 million Americans are on food stamps did not.  I didn’t know this either, but the total Americans enrolled in the USDA’s food-stamp program has exceeded 46 million since September 2011.

COMMENTS:
What this means is that 47 million Americans are not making enough money to survive.  No matter how you dice it or slice it or spin it, there is a lot of hurt going on in this country right now.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. You many times said you did not expect Obama to be President after 2011 or in 2012.  He’s still alive and kicking.  Now what do you say?  (Panda ~ Tacoma, WA)
A. As much as I dislike him?  I never expected an assassination, but would never want to be a Secret Service Agent with thus guy.  I expected resignation or impeachment.  The press and the media being totally in his pocket, however, the information necessary to stoke the public’s angst up was smothered.

Q. Gas prices are up everywhere, but California is outrageous.  What is going to happen now?  (Li ~ Los Angeles, CA)
A. They say it’s due to refinery problems and that the law of supply and demand sets the prices.  There is also another law that should be taking effect: You can’t take advantage of an emergency situation to make unreasonable profits.  High fuel prices actually kicked off the recession we’re in.  I look for California’s economy, what’s left of it, to come to a grinding halt.

Q. Do you think Obama can make a comeback from the first debate?  (Sal ~ Redding, CA)
A. You never rule a culprit out until the fat canary sings, or something like that.  I think I have finally sized up his lack of preparation and solid debate; he knows that regardless of all the politics he is going to win.  That can only mean one thing, and I hope I’m wrong: he’s prepared to perform a pre-emptive strike against Iran’s nuclear sites this month, if necessary in order to retain his Presidency.
