PENTAGON PREVENTING MILITARY VOTE... AGAIN

Requests from military voters for absentee ballots have dropped significantly since 2008 — and by as much as 70 percent in Virginia and Ohio — leading a GOP senator to conclude that they are yet another example of how the U.S. Defense Department under President Barack Obama has failed the nation’s military.  Read more on Newsmax.com: Report: Huge Drop in Military Requests for AbsenteeBallots  This total lack of compliance with the law by Pentagon appears to be due to the fact that military personnel predominantly vote Republican.

COMMENTS:
The Obama Administration, reacting to criticism over the 2010 military voting debacle, insisted at the time that immediate steps would be taken to ensure that it never happened again.  But, as has happened in countless instances, what the White House has said and what the White House has done are polar opposites.  This is not only a total violation of the military right to vote, it is an outrageous and flagrant violation of the fundamentals of our democratic government.  Someone needs to go to jail.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. We continue to hear that the FBI is on the ground in Benghazi; yet, we also hear it is not.  The reason, we are told they are not there, is that it is too dangerous for them to be there.  Yet, CNN and God knows who else managed to get to the Consulate and extract information useful to them, including Ambassador Stevens’ diary.  What is going on?  (Ivy ~ Chehalis, WA)
A. Whatever it is, we’re not going to find out until after the election, if then.  For certain, it is sinister or they wouldn’t be pulling out all of their stops to keep us from knowing what happened there.  Are you willing to watch another cover-up?

Q. The Dow continues well above 11,000, although the economy is in a shambles.  I fear it is artificially high, like what happened before the great collapse of 2008.  What do you think?  (May ~ Ventura, CA)
A. I agree.  I’ve been wondering and seriously conjecturing that it is being artificially propped up by investments from Ben Bernanke and Tim Geithner with unaccounted for bailout and stimulus money.  Nevertheless, this is one reason I have been consistent in warning people to get out of the stock market.  It is extremely volatile and we are really at the very verge of financial collapse.

Q. Do you think they will ever catch the bastards who shot and killed the Border Patrol agent Monday?  (Anton ~ Redding, CA)
A. Late yesterday, Mexican authorities arrested two men in Agua Prieta, a few miles from where the shootings occurred.  No other details were available at post time.

TODAY’S QUOTE:
Healthy debate has been replaced by automatic sensors that eliminate the need for actual talking during a filibuster - a la 'Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.' Robust debate is necessary in a democratic society. Instead, our discourse has been relegated to media spin by expert entertainers.” ~ Douglas Wilder
