OBAMA STEPS IN YET ANOTHER PILE

Vestas, a Danish-American manufacturer of wind turbines has announced the layoff of 800 employees immediately and possibly another 800 after the first of the year because of the year-end expiration of the energy production tax credit.  President Obama wanted the tax credit to expire because he feels that oil companies make too much money through its use.

COMMENTS:
This is just one company that has made use of the tax credit.  There are countless companies, big and small, depending on the tax credit to make up for the skinny profit margin in the electricity manufacturing sector.  They are solar, wind, hydro, geothermal… these are both large and small startup companies that directly make electricity or make products and machinery used in that manufacturing.  It’s just another one of the many short-sighted, ill-thought-out boondoggles of the “elite” Obama team.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I know that all of the pundits are saying Obama won Tuesday night, but I didn’t see it that way.  What do you think?  (Carmen ~ Espanola, NM)
A. Obama was certainly better prepared and more vocal in this debate.  However, what he had to say either largely lacked substance or was a total stretch of the truth.  In fact, he flatly ducked and did not answer several questions.  And, once again, the substance and mannerisms of Romney during the debate surely showed me he is of “Presidential stature.”  Many people, including me, are very pleasantly surprised at what is emerging from Romney.

Q. Did I hear that Russia is scrapping some nuclear agreements made with the United States?  (Timothy ~ Gardena, CA)
A. Yes.  They had made an agreement that secured their nuclear weapons during the fall of the Soviet Union.  They obviously know that Obama won’t squawk very loudly about it and they are in the process of jockeying into position as being the new “number one superpower” of the world.  But, they have to beat the Chinese at this game first.

Q. Don’t you think Crowley’s answer, siding with Obama on when he said the Benghazi massacre was caused by terrorism, was totally wrong?  (Elmo ~ Red Bluff, CA)
A. Yes.  In fact, I think it may have been deliberately contrived.  How many people knew or remembered what Obama said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack?  Yet, Romney brought the subject up, Obama insisted he was saying from the get go that it was terrorism, Romney was justifiably astonished to hear that, and Crowley sided with Obama, saying she had heard what Obama said.  Think about it.  I think it was a “set up.”
