HOUSE COMMITTEE INVESTIGATES BENGHAZI

A House committee spent yesterday gathering testimony regarding what happened at our Benghazi, Libya Consulate.  The more said, the more it appeared that there was a deliberate cover-up of the facts, inadequate security, and a glaring refusal to allow news about at least two prior attacks on the Consulate to be reported in the United States.

COMMENTS:
Virtually unreported is the fact that Obama cancelled several campaign appearances and rushed back to Washington to meet behind closed doors with Hillary Clinton yesterday.  This unreported action is from the man who was “too busy” to meet with Netanyahu and who tried to play off the seriousness of what has occurred in Benghazi by running off to Vegas on a campaign junket.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. The guy who supposedly made the anti-Muslim video that started the uproar was originally said to be an informant for the State Department.  We haven’t heard anything more about that angle.  As a matter of fact, we heard he was arrested on a parole violation and have heard nothing since.  No one is talking about him.  Why not?  (Denny ~ Las Vegas, NV)
A. One of his many names is Nakoula Basseley Nakoula (Youseff); he has a long list of frauds and was banned from using the Internet, computers and email without the approval of a probation officer for five years.  That’s what caused his arrest.  Mark Basseley Youssef is in a Federal detention center pending a November 9th hearing.  I don’t want to totally dismiss the original story that he was an informant for the State Department, but I now seriously doubt it.

Q. I don’t use Skype, but I have in the past.  Now I hear there is a vicious virus spreading via Skype. Am I in danger?  (Melinda ~ Hemit, CA)
A. According to Kim Komando, a vicious virus is spreading via Skype. The scammer sends you a fake message with a link attached. When you click the link, it automatically starts a download of dangerous malware called "ransomware."  This virus claims it has locked your computer and all of your files. Scammers say they will delete everything unless you fork over hundreds of dollars.  If you no longer access Skype or get emails from people who use Skype, you should be okay.  Keep your computer safe with up-to-date security protection, such as Norton or McAfee.

Q. I understand large and financially influential Chinese firms doing business in the U.S. are actually spying?  How does this happen?  (Ballard ~ Missoula, MT)
A. The firms being accused are in the communications business and may be skimming valuable data information from various Internet organizations.  This is a breakdown in basic domestic intelligence, attributable to the current Administration.  Any foreign entity doing business in the U.S. should be subjected to additional scrutiny, particularly from certain countries, China being among them.
