Following a justifiably failed attempt to become Secretary of State, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice now tops the list of candidates for National Security Adviser, according to White House sources. Obama can appoint her without Senate confirmation. Five days after the attacks that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans at a U.S. outpost in Benghazi, Libya, Rice lied and said the attacks appeared spontaneous and sparked by an anti-Islamic video.
COMMENTS:
This is another “in your face, America” move by Obama. He knows fully well that the Benghazi
Massacre has yet to be explained and that his Administration is obstructing
investigations at every turn. But, he
owes Rice big time for doing what she was told to do, while Clinton disappeared
from the scene and Obama sealed his lips.
It’s time we got angry enough to throw the s.o.b. out. He’s committed several impeachable offenses
and we should be going after him on all of them.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think rail travel will ever make a comeback in
this country? (Eduardo ~ Needles, CA)
A. As you drive anywhere in the nation, you will discover
thousands of miles of abandoned railway beds.
There was a railway near where I live that was used to transport logs
from the forest to the mills; now, they do that by truck. If you travel from one city to another by
rail, you have to find a way to get to the train station at one end and from the
station at the other end to your final destination. Travel by rail is therefore a hassle and I do
not see it regaining its popularity in this country until Obama gets rid of both
guns and cars.
Q. Do you think the latest move by Obama to try and sway Republican
Congressmen over to his side will work? (Leonora
~ Park City, UT)
A. If it does, the remaining Republican base will desert the ship like
rats before it sinks. Besides, most people these days finally realize that you
can’t trust that sleazebag as far as you can throw him.
Q. I keep hearing that our prisons are over-crowded and that
the U.S. has a bigger percentage of its citizens in jail than any other
country. How can we change this? (Marcy ~ Pismo Beach, CA)
A. Here’s something to raise your eyebrows… and your
hopes. They are actually closing prisons
in Texas because they have too many cells and beds. Texas has started a new project called “Right
on Crime.” In one instance, they poured
a few million dollars into cleaning up addicts and getting mental health
services, something that could be done on an out-of-prison basis which teaching
former inmates accountability for their own actions at the same time. They operate on the theory that prisons are
meant to hold violent or repeat offenders and that others can be effectively
dealt with outside of prison confinement.
And, so far, the statistics are backing them up.
