SHOULD GUN OWNERSHIP BECOME MANDTAORY?

Some communities, such as Byron, Maine, are considering laws that would require all citizens to own guns.

COMMENTS:
The idea is to preemptively block gun control laws.  I am a lifelong gun owner and gun rights advocate and the idea sounds good at first blush.  However, we must remember there are clumsy people and people whose beliefs would prohibit them from acquiring guns.  I no more support this idea than I did ObamaCare, for the same reasons: I believe it is unconstitutional for any government agency to require any American citizen to buy anything.  And that includes the proliferation of bull emanating from the White House… We don’t have to buy that, either.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. They reopened the Natalie Wood case a couple of years ago and I’ve heard nothing about it since.  What happened?  (Mycal ~ Whittier, CA)
A. The original cause of her death in 1981 was ruled to be drowning.  The Coroner’s Office has now modified the cause to be “drowning and undetermined causes.”  They did determine some trauma to the body inconsistent with a simple drowning and have not ruled whether the death was accidental or due to foul play.  We may never know the truth as to what happened to this beautiful woman and great actress.

Q. With all of the bad news floating around lately about computer fraud, I am so worried about my PC getting hacked and someone getting into my accounts.  What’s my best protection?  (Virgil ~ Genoa, NV)
A. Your single best protection is to use passwords tough to crack and change them frequently on all accounts.  I recommend at least eight characters, including special characters if your institution allows them, such as @#$%^&*.  Don't store your passwords in a computer file; keep them separate and safe.  Also, check your account activity weekly to see if there are any suspicious entries.  A small debit, such as $7.71, may be a simple test to see if your account actually exists.  If that slips through, their next move is to go for $899 or something like that.

Q. With Obama determined to show us who is who in this country by closing down White House tours to save a paltry $18,000, several media figures and organizations have come forth to offer to pay for those tours so school kids won’t be disappointed.  What is the White House reaction? (Fahal ~ Tualatin, OR)
A. Ominous silence.  His Royal Highness is still sulking.
