In what appears to be a religion-motivated act of domestic terrorism, a man entered a Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin south of Milwaukee yesterday. Seven were killed, including the gunman; at post time (last night) there was no firm count on people injured. There are reports that several threats were made against the temple over the past year.
COMMENTS:
Once again, I have to ask why no one in the temple or near
the temple was carrying a concealed weapon.
When an officer did arrive on the scene, he was shot and wounded; a
second responding officer eventually took out the shooter. It is an unfortunate fact that we have these
nut cases and terrorists in our midst.
When they strike, we are at total risk of death until law enforcement
arrives and takes out the shooter(s).
Yet, in cities where there are a relatively high number of guns in the
hands of law-abiding citizens, violent crimes have plummeted. The obvious conclusion is that more law-abiding
people should be carrying guns.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think about the fact that Mitt Romney won’t
weigh in on the Chick-fil-A controversy?
(Ruth ~ Renton, WA)
A. He’s a Mormon and I’m sure everyone can guess his stance
on the gay issue without him speaking about it.
Entering the fracas would be a dumb political move, turning the focus of
the election away from the terrible economic condition we are in. Let the liberals wallow around in the muck by
themselves.
Q. France’s new government is imposing a 75% income tax on
the rich. Word is that Obama wants to do
the same thing. Do we want to dry up
business investment altogether and doom the country to high unemployment and
stagnation forever? (Betsy ~ Missoula,
MT)
A. That scenario would suit Obama’s Marxist-Socialist agenda
just fine.
Q. Now, New York City’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg is demanding
that women quit using formulas for feeding their babies and get back to breast
feeding. He’s pushing local hospitals to
quit offering free samples to new mothers.
Who does this guy think he is?
God? (Lucinda ~ Saratoga, CA)
A. No, he understands that the God role is reserved for
Barack Hussein Obama. I think he
considers himself to be more like Chairman Mao.
