The U.S. has not only flown the soldier accused of killing 16 Afghan civilians out of the country, it has also made that fact public.
COMMENTS:
U.S. relations with Afghanistan are justifiably tense after
we burned their Korans and slaughtered 16 of their citizens. They also feel that the soldier, who is
stationed at a base in Washington State, should be tried in Afghani courts;
that has been the rule when military personnel commit such crimes in foreign
countries. Removing him from Afghanistan
and then announcing that fact is certainly akin to thumbing our noses at
them. If they don’t go absolutely
ballistic over this in that country, I will be surprised. If the reverse had happened, if one of theirs
had killed 16 of ours in Washington D.C., and then they flew him out of the
U.S., we’d already be bombing them. This
is absolutely the worst decision ever made by the United States in foreign
policy in decades, if not centuries.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Romney may not have won Tuesday, but he’s certainly
established himself as “The Guy” for Republicans in 2012. It’s time for the other three idiots to pack
their bags and get out. (Geoff ~ Reno,
NV)
A. Romney got 33% of the vote. I don’t think he’s ever gotten more than 45% of the vote. That means 55% to 67% of the Republicans
would prefer to have someone else. Now,
it’s patently obvious that both Obama and the media want Romney to be the
nominee. That tells me that they think
it’ll be a slam dunk to beat him in November.
What we should probably do is get “Joe the Plumber” in there.
Q. Leon Panetta was the target of assassins in Afghanistan (yesterday.) Could
they really have gotten to him? (Kylie ~
Fremont, CA)
A. All it takes is one slip in security and anything can happen. Given the news now out about our flying the
accused mass killer out of the country, I think Panetta’s presence there is yet
another inflammatory provocation on our part.
If they had to send somebody, it should have been Hillary.
Q. Rush Limbaugh is accusing Obama of using “accounting
tricks.” Do you think there is any truth
in that position? (Marlys ~ Salt Lake
City, UT)
A. If you read my blogs, you’ll find that I have been saying
that exact same thing since about February of 2009; it’s nice that Limbaugh finally caught up
with me. Yes, Obama manipulates and, in
many cases, flat misstates statistics and money figures. This, too, is a tactic employed by Marxist
dictators before they come into power.
It’s designed to deliberately confuse the public.
TODAY’S QUOTE:
“I read in the newspapers they are going to
have 30 minutes of intellectual stuff on television every Monday from 7:30 to 8:00
to educate America. They couldn't educate America if they started at 6:30.” ~ Groucho
