President Barack Obama designated five areas Thursday as Economic Promise Zones: three in cities, one in rural Kentucky and one on the Choctaw Nation in Oklahoma. Nearly all of them offer Democrats stronger political inroads with resistant local voters. In other words, the selection of these zones was based on politics as opposed to economic need.
COMMENTS:
I don’t know why FOX NEWS or conservative Americans are at
all surprised by this move. Look back to
the advent of “Stimulus” and the acquisition of Chrysler and GM, when the
Administration proceeded to close down dealerships across the country which
were owned by Republicans. If that doesn’t
exemplify what kind of banana republic President we have, I don’t know what
does. He actually makes Castro look like
a far-right conservative.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I am so infuriated with everything going on in
Washington, I want to learn more and become involved in some way. Where do I start? (Tippy ~ Goleta, CA)
A. Join a Tea Party group.
There are several of them and they focus on different things. You’ll want to learn a little about them on
the Internet and then join up and start attending meetings. I prefer a group that goes beyond conducting informative
meetings and gets into being vocal about its positions. Those are the groups most feared by Obama and
his flunky, lackey Democrats.
Q. It seems like every time I turn around, there’s a slew of
new government regulations. I just read
there have already been 141 new regulations within the first three days of the New
Year. When will this oppression
stop? (Diana ~ Ketchum, ID)
A. Not until Obama leaves office. Of course, you can now no longer buy
incandescent light bulbs and there’s a new regulation coming out about the fans
in your furnace; you’re probably going to have to pay out $300 or so to bring
them into compliance and if you refuse, they’ll sick the IRS on you, fine you and sentence you to 24 months at Guantanamo.
Q. I don’t understand this.
They are saying that Walmart is now offering a better and cheaper
insurance than ObamaCare? (Sunny ~
Tempe, AZ)
A. Let me begin by dispelling a myth: ObamaCare is not a
good product. When you put ObamaCare up
against virtually any other legal policy which existed before October 1,
ObamaCare is very inferior in terms of its cost versus its benefits, availability
of doctors and hospitals, and ease of access.
It should therefore be no surprise that the healthcare plans provided by
Walmart for its employees are vastly superior to ObamaCare. Please note that Walmart does not sell health
care insurance to the general public. Perhaps
it should, on aisle 23 next to the government-mandated Vaseline.
