U.S. UNJUSTIFIABLY TICKS OFF INDIA

Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade was arrested by the U.S. Department of State's diplomatic security team and handed over to U.S. marshals in New York where she was then allegedly handcuffed several times, swabbed and subjected to a full cavity search… all because she allegedly lied on her application for a visa and claimed she was paying her housekeeper more than she was.  India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh described the diplomat's treatment as "deplorable," prompting John Kerry to apologize.

COMMENTS:
Why in God’s name would you subject a woman from any country, including the U.S., to a full-body search over a piece of paper?  There was no evidence I am aware of that she was a dangerous criminal wanted by Interpol.  The treatment is one more ominous signal that our government has become a “police state.”

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Whatever happened to those guys who stole a truckload of radioactive material in Mexico and started to get sick from radiation poisoning?  (Casper ~ Salt Lake City, UT)
A. They underwent extensive screening and were determined to not be affected by radiation.  They should consider themselves to be damned lucky, even if they don’t have glowing personalities.

Q. I hear huge portraits of Obama have been hung in the British Embassy.  What’s with that?  (Chaz ~ Sandia, NM)
A. The tapestry portraits are 8 feet tall by six feet wide.  They were placed in the U.S. Embassy in London, probably because officials feared being stoned to death if they tried to install them anywhere in the U.S.

Q. What’s the story with the Marine that is about to be dishonorably discharged from service over an email?  (Dustin ~ Carson City, NV)
A. He allegedly sent out an email warning that an Afghan Police Chief had ties to the Taliban.  The email went from his personal email address and was subsequently ignored.  An attack ensued and three Marines were killed by a child associate of the Afghan Police Chief.  The Marine, Maj. Jason Brezler from New York, is now being charged with sending classified information from an unsecure email address.  It's another classic liberal response; they are guilty of ignoring the warning that could have saved three lives, so they are transferring the blame to someone else.
