News broke yesterday that several legitimate sources,
including the President of Libya, have said that the attack on the Libyan Consulate
was not preceded by demonstrations in the streets as the White House is insisting. Then came the denial that the White House had
any prior notice of an impending attack, followed by the revelation that four
previous attacks on diplomatic and Western targets in days leading up to the
attack had occurred in Benghazi! And, there’s the disturbing
story about the lack of sufficient security at the Consulate and evidence that Ambassador
Stevens had complained to the State Department; nevertheless, the State
Department is insisting that security was indeed sufficient at the consulate,
although additional security forces are now on their way there.
COMMENTS:
Obama is probably worried that, should the whole truth come
out, the complete story could severely damage his reelection efforts. So, he’s sticking to his bows and arrows, (he
doesn’t like guns, you know). The whole
scenario is so absurd that even the liberal media is having a difficult time
creating cover for Obama.

What should Obama do? (Homer ~

A. Get on Air Force One and fly over there and apologize
again profusely, while kissing the feet of each country’s leader and chief
Islamic cleric. Sarcasm aside, he backed
himself into a corner when he originally apologized for the now famous Mohammed
video that no one has seen. Then, he
doubled and tripled-down when he insisted the video was the to blame for all of
these demonstrations as well as the Libyan Consulate attack. How can he now turn around and get
tough? If he believed in God, he could
attend morning services and pray that this whole thing blows over. Under the circumstances, I suggest three
Allahs to Mecca followed by two Tylenols.
Q. Is anything happening with the supposed maker of this
video? (Vi ~ Twin Falls, ID)
A. This is not confirmed, but I understand he was arrested by
the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office at midnight on the 14th. I’ve not been able to discover the changes,
if any, or if he is still in custody. Word
yesterday came that Islamic clerics have authorized a “fatwa” to kill the man,
so it may be that he was taken into protective custody.
Q. I’ve heard Bill O’Reilly complaining about the high number
of people collecting Social Security Disability payments. Is this true, and if so, how do they get
around the requirements? (Cal ~ La

A. A recent study by the U.S. Senate reveals that upwards of
25% of the disability awards were not justified according to the rules. Each questionable decision can mean a big
taxpayer expense of over $300,000 per person over a lifetime. Most of these improper awards seem to be as the result of decisions by Administrative Law Judges on appeals of original denials. The bipartisan report concludes the Social
Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income programs are
“teetering on financial bankruptcy.”
