Faced with a steep decline in the number of smaller, individual campaign donors, President Obama is now breaking his own campaign “rules” and taking money from lobbyists. Obama has said many times he will not accept money from lobbyists, and he is flaunting his rule by taking contributions from unregistered lobbyists and claiming they are not really lobbyists. Initial reports show that the “unregistered” lobbyists are working for or with registered lobbying firms and are bundling contributions.
COMMENTS:
Even when the people are voting against him with their lack
of contributions, he manages to find a way to treat them like dirt. Who is running this country anyway; us, or
the lobbyists?
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I think this was the best World Series I’ve seen in
several years. What do you think? (Slick ~ Bullhead City, AZ)
A. I agree, but I was disappointed not to see Hank Aaron or Pete Rose in
the game.
Q. If you had to choose between Mitt Romney and Rick Perry
today, which one would you choose for the Republican nominee? (Georgia ~ Reno, NV)
A. Donald Duck, as a write-in candidate.
Q. I’m nervous. A
recent TIME Magazine report shows that Hillary Clinton could easily win over
any of the Republican candidates. (Art ~
Eureka, CA)
A. I said a few months ago that I thought it would be a
possibility that she might run. The
question is: can she beat Barack Obama? Now,
if Hillary ran against Romney or Rick Perry, I might vote for her. As for the other Republican candidates, I
would be inclined to vote for one of them before her. But, we don’t have to fret; she has said
several times that she is no longer interested in the job. On the other hand, if I turn out being correct that Obama would not finish his first term....

money, and when I am president, they won't find a job in my White House.”
