President Obama has gone on the muscle, flatly demanding passing of his jobs and economic stimulus bill. Lashing out at Congress and at Republicans in particular, Obama says the bill should have been passed at least a week ago, and he is demanding… demanding… demanding answers as to why it has not been done.
COMMENTS:
Every month for the last 30 or so months, Obama has been
promising that “next month” he would deal with the unemployment situation. One stimulus, passed under the “emergency
pass it or the sky will fall” mantra, failed miserably. Well, it now appears that Americans
understand Obama’s rhetoric for what it truly is, and they are not ready to cow-tow to his horse manure any longer. Sorry,
there Baracko; you’ve become irrelevant.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why all of the fuss about when Florida has its
primaries? (Gwen – Monterrey, CA)
A. For one thing, things change. Supposing you like candidate A in January and
vote for him. Then, in February after A
wins the primary in your state, you find out that A really has views that are
different than yours and you now like candidate C; there’s nothing you can do
about it. In my humble opinion,
primaries should be as close to the November election as possible but still
before the conventions. June is much
better so that we have time to really get to know the candidates and therefore
to make better decisions. Obviously,
Florida feels that by being first, it can influence the national outcome.
Q. I hear that illegal Hispanic students are vacating
Alabama schools after the State Supreme Court upheld tough new immigration laws. Rick Perry believes that children of illegal
immigrants should receive an education in America because it is not their fault
they are here. What’s your opinion? (Carla ~ San Luis Obispo, CA)
A. Illegal is illegal.
If you don’t like the laws, change them.
There can be no alternative; if you create laws and then ignore them,
you essentially have anarchy. Yes, I do
feel sorry for the children, but their parents bear the ultimate responsibility.
Perry doesn’t get the picture and he’s now nearly at the bottom of my list of
potential nominees, right above Mitt Romney.
See the next question.
Q. Mitt Romney is a good and smooth speaker. I think he is eloquent and deserves a shot at
the Presidency. Why haven’t you come out
in favor of him? (Chet ~ Boise, ID)
A. I don’t like RomneyCare and more than I like
ObamaCare. Smooth talkers are the ones
who usually take you for the biggest and wildest ride. Obama is a smooth talker; if you like smooth
talkers, why not keep Obama?

“Therefore, if we are a Nation of laws and
a Nation of immigrants, immigration should occur within a legal framework, not
through the machinations of illegal schemes and scams that threaten our
national security.” ~ J. D. Hayworth
