It was in Salt Lake City that a homeowner shot at a burglar
and was subsequently arrested. According
to the FOX NATION, Clare Niederhauser fired one shot at a fleeing burglar and
one shot at the getaway car before being arrested. Hundreds of Salt Lake City residents are backing
him.
COMMENTS:
Well, for one thing I am disappointed that Niederhauser has
a concealed weapons permit; I have one in Utah and several other states and I
know that the training courses do a good job of explaining when you can use a
gun in self-defense. There has to be an
immediate threat of injury or death to you or whoever you are trying to prevent
from being shot. In the case where the
threat has been diminished or mitigated, you lose the right to shoot and that
is a good rule. In this case, the
burglar had dropped the crowbar he was using and escaped in a getaway car being
driven by a waiting female. The threat
was over; the right to shoot was lost.
This is the reason that I firmly believe every gun owner needs to take a
required course in gun safety and use, and it should be renewed every three or
four years so the gun owner is kept informed of changing laws.

Q. How can you possibly take the stance that terrorists, if
they are American citizens, should not be put to death? (Ashley ~ Torrance, CA)
A. I never said that; in fact, I agree that, depending on
the circumstances, terrorists including American citizens should be put to
death. But, our Constitution gives that
American citizen the right to a fair hearing to be judged. There is no provision for arbitrarily killing
one who might be suspected of terrorism; it must be proven. Those Constitutional guarantees are to
prevent an unjust government from tyranny against its citizens, and Obama has
unilaterally, dictatorially nullified those guarantees. He has violated his oath of office and needs
to be removed.
Q. What’s going to happen to all of those unfortunate people
who were still trying to recover from Superstorm Sandy in the
aftermath of this latest blizzard? (Jeremy
~ Butte, MT)
A. Oh, FEMA will be right there to help them. They should be right there to help out, yes
sir. Hell, Obama might even do a fly-in
and hook up with Chris Christie for a walk-around photo op. Maybe they’ll send a
drone in to take a peek and fire off a few rounds at Rush Limbaugh.
Q. I heard a short blip somewhere that hundreds of Native
American women have been kidnapped and/or disappeared over the last 20
years. Can you fill me in with
more? (Cody ~ Lovelock, NV)
A. Most of the disappearances have been in Canada, where
upwards of 700 have gone missing in the last 30 years. According to U.S.
Department of Justice statistics, 1 out of 3 Native women will be raped in her
lifetime and 3 out of 5 will be physically assaulted, while their offenders
escape prosecution under the color of discriminatory United States law.
In this human rights crisis, Native women are murdered at rates 10 times
the national average, and subjected to domestic violence and assault at
staggering rates — rates 2½ times higher than any other group in the
United States.
