The Dow dropped below 12,000 last week, renewing fears that the U.S. economy is about to tank again, and big time. A recent run of disappointing economic results suggests the recovery is increasingly at risk, New York Federal Reserve President William Dudley said in a recent speech to business leaders in Brooklyn.
COMMENTS:
At the end of last year, I was warning that the economy was going to go south again after the first of the year. This news lends credence to my theory, although it is happening later than I expected. My worries are that an actual depression could be just around the corner. The Administration has been spinning the truth and covering up the facts for months, and the real story is now starting to unravel.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I was a little nervous about Saturday, being 6/11/11 and knowing those numbers have Muslim significance. Two more days bother me this year, 9/11/11 and 11/11/11. Does Al Queda still have the ability to create massive terrorist attacks against the United States? (Lenny ~ Phoenix, AZ)
A. Yes. They are even better able to do these things now than on 9/11. I’m not as concerned about 11/11/11 as about 9/11/11, which will be the 10th anniversary of the big one. I plan to lower the floor in my house so there will be room for me to hide under my bed.
Q. I think MTV should be forced off the air. It is now lewd and crude beyond belief. (Tammie ~ Alturas, CA)
A. Many people including me agree. But the FCC is too busy trying to follow Obama’s orders to get Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck off the airwaves.
Q. I keep hearing stories that the U.S. is about to enter into a treaty with the United Nations to ban private gun ownership in America, and that the Senate would ratify the treaty. Is this true? (Vance ~ Redding, CA)
A. It’s all just a gimmick to try and get you to fork over donation dollars to keep it from happening. #1, I sincerely doubt the Senate, as full of Democrats as it is, would ratify the treaty. #2, our Constitutional right to bear arms trumps any treaties with anybody.
