NUCLEAR PROBLEMS ESCALATE IN JAPAN

Tons of highly radiated water have leaked from Japan’s Fukushima Nuclear Facility into the ground; officials have said the water could spill into the Pacific Ocean.  Plant employees continue to struggle in trying to bring the reactors under control.  They have yet to get internal pumps working properly to circulate water and keep reactors cooled.

Isn’t it amazing what news continues to evolve while the Casey Anthony trial goes on and on?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q.  Is it possible they will not raise the debt ceiling by August 2nd?  (Ardith ~ Colusa, CA)
A.  Yes, and unless there are some serious spending reductions, the ceiling should not be raised.  We have to stop this endless and reckless nonsense somehow.

Q.  Why are 40% of computer users still using Windows XP operating systems?  (Brook ~ Jackson Hole, WY)
A.  I have two computers, a desktop and a laptop.  The desktop has XP and the Laptop has Windows 7.  I do most of my work on the desktop.  For me to evolve to Windows 7 on the desktop I would have to buy a new computer and I do have a good one with lots of bells and whistles.  Then, I have to buy a lot of new software, so the total tab is about $2,800.  Then, I have to load that software plus transfer another 50 pieces of software and data… there goes a week of time.  The desk top is working great.  It does everything I need it to.  Windows 7 does not offer me that much more.  So, why should I switch? I'd still be using Windows ME if my prior computer hadn't died.

Q.  They sure tore after Michele Bachmann over saying John Wayne was born in Waterloo, Iowa.  Why?  (Samantha ~ Redding, CA)
A.  Since they can’t discuss policy on an intellectual level, they have to be mean spirited.  I would be willing to say that less than 5% of Americans knew where John Wayne was born.
