The House of Representatives debated Friday on President Obama’s decision to get militarily involved in Libya without Congressional approval. The House considered two resolutions, one to end U.S. involvement and one to demand full cost accounting and an explanation of the scope of operations within two weeks.
COMMENTS:
The issue is not whether or not we should be there; the issue is whether or not Obama abided by the law in getting us there. All of the rest is superfluous to the question. But, then again, Obama is superfluous.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I posted an opinion piece in 2010 and noticed you posted the following: Saturday, May 21, 2011 SOCIAL SECURITY: WHOSE MONEY IS IT? This title is the exact same title I posted last year. Not sure if you came across my opinion piece, but it is a bit odd that you would post something with the exact same verbiage and punctuation as my posting. In order to not get into any copyright or plagerism (sp) issues, would recommend you check your information before posting. (Karen ~ Ferrum, VA)
A. Madam: I do not have the time to examine 1,500,000 blogs to find a title and I do not have the time to research 1,500,000 blogs to see if someone else has the same verbiage. Obviously, you have much more time than I do and I would suggest that you spend your time sticking your nose into someone else's business. Have a great day.
Q. I think that the opinions you express in your various blogs are distasteful and very biased against President Obama and liberals in general. You never represent the other side and you are therefore being very unfair. (Jake ~ San Francisco, CA)
A. That’s why they call them opinions. If you don’t like what I have to say, why do you read it? Perhaps you are seeking the truth, and for that I would congratulate you. Have a great day.
Q. You must be a writer for Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity. Most of what you have to say is untrue and you know it. This is why I think material such as yours should be prohibited. (Marlene ~ Reno, NV)
A. Obviously, you are afraid of what I have to say. The best way to cure your fears is to confront them and rationalize them, and in the process you should also seek truth. Maybe a little Ex-Lax will help. Have a great day.
