OBAMA TO CONGRESS ON LIBYA: “T.S.”

President Barack Hussein Obama has claimed that his actions as a NATO member do not constitute hostilities in Libya and that, therefore, Congress can’t stop him.  House Speaker John Boehner threatened to cut off funding for the Libyan operation.  The 1973 War Powers Act prohibits the President from using the military in actions for more than 60 days without congressional authorization, plus a 30-day extension; the 90-day mark is Sunday.

COMMENTS:
Here is the classic example of the President not caring what the law says or the Congress does.  If they cut off his funding, he will simply divert other defense money to cover the operation.  This arrogant attitude underscores what I have been saying from before Day One: he is not an American, or he would not even consider doing these things.  He is an Adolf Hitler in a slick suit and with a teleprompter; nothing more, nothing less. Now let's see if Congress has the testicles to do something about it.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q.  What have you got to say about Weiner’s resignation?  (Uncle Rex ~ Sand Point, ID)
A.  Exit stage left.

Q.  I’m exasperated.  The garbage man will not take my computer stuff or old TV.  I hauled them to the dump and they won’t take them, either, although they did take my washer and dryer.  I’ve called all over town and can’t get rid of this stuff.  What do I do with it?  (Paul ~ Redding, CA)
A.  That is the exact reason that people start dumping in the woods and desert, when it becomes too much of a hassle or cost to get rid of their garbage the legal way.  Thank EPA for that; they say electronics are full of things bad for the environment, but I guess there are no electronics in washer and dryer controls?  You should contact your garbage company and ask them.  In some cities, there are solid waste recycling centers that will take them, (check your yellow pages under Garbage Collection or Solid Waste).  The way the EPA works these days is that they give federal grant money to organizations, governments and firms to go out into the wild and retrieve these things in “solid waste cleanups.”  But, you yourself go through holy hell trying to get rid of them.  That’s your government at work.

Q.  What’s your opinion of the new guy at CBS?  (Melva ~ Tulsa, OK)
A.  Well, so far so good.  Both cable and network news have been into this magazine format where they dwell on the story or two every segment and don’t really get in to the news.  During the Weiner scandal this week, Scott Pelley spent much less time than other shows on Weiner and got into more hard news.  I find that refreshing and may take to watching CBS news on a regular basis now instead of so much Fox.  Now that the Dan Rather-Katie Couric eras are over, maybe CBS will continue to give us the honest and real news that we really want to know.

TODAY’S QUOTE:
“A month after the scandal broke, I tried to go back to work at the pharmaceutical company after a leave of absence. But because of all the publicity and resulting pressure and stress, I finally resigned.”  ~ Donna Rice
