HOMELESS SHELTERS PACKED

Tens of thousands of people have turned to homeless shelters for help as a result of a shoddy economy, loss of housing and unemployment.  The number of people using shelters or transitional housing in suburban and rural areas increased 57 percent from 2007 to 2010, with more than 500,000 people from smaller communities seeking help in 2010, according to a report by the Housing and Urban Development Department.

COMMENTS:
Is this really our country?  Is this the direction we want our country to go in?  I’m sorry to say this, but we have the worst President a country could ever have.  He laughs about his failure on “shovel ready” projects?  He designates this all as a “bump in the road?”  I’m sorry, but I’m an American and I think the son-of-a-bitch should be impeached for dereliction of duty.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q.  I see that the EPA is forcing some coal-fired electrical energy plants to close, although we’re getting warnings that there won’t be enough energy to go around this summer.  How can this be?  (Hank ~ North Hollywood, CA)
A.  The EPA, as I have said before, is omnipotent.  They have almost as much power as God; only Obama could rein them in.  They do not care about the consequences of their actions.  Reason should dictate that you phase new regulations in, in an orderly manner.  EPA says, “Here are the new rules.  Implement them or holy hell shall prevail.”

Q.  I heard that new Federal legislation has been proposed to provide for a national gun registration?  (Kyle ~ Arroyo Grande, AZ)
A.  Chuck Schumer from New York did it.  It is so extensive that it would provide for the requirement of a criminal background check on the gun range, where you ask to shoot my pistol to see if you want to buy one like it.  In the meanwhile, Mayor Bloomberg has commissioned a moving signboard that travels the country promoting gun control and gun abolition.  These activities fly in the face of statistics showing an overwhelming majority of Americans believe in the right to bear arms.  I say someone should take the knives off of their dining tables.

Q.  What do you think of Rick Perry?  (Marie ~ Chico, CA)
A.  I have no opinion.  I really don’t follow the Cowboys.
