IMMIGRATION: SEVEN YEARS FOR ILLEGAL ENTRY

A "serial border-crosser" was sentenced to more than seven years in prison for illegal reentry to the United States after deportation, Tucson officials said.  The offender was found in Nogales, Arizona, on September 30th after having been deported following an aggravated felony.  He had previously been convicted of illegal entry three times, dating back to 1994.  U.S. District Judge David Bury sentenced him to a year in prison for violating supervised release, and 6 years and 5 months for illegal reentry, according to the release.

COMMENTS:
It’s too bad this Judge isn’t the U.S. Attorney General.  This is the kind of sentence that should send a message to the illegals: “Get out of our country and Vaya con Dios!”

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q.  It certainly is suspicious to me that they “shot and killed” Osama and then dumped his body in the sea lickety-split and there are no pictures.  Why?  (Harvey ~ Burbank, CA)
A.  The story is that they blew his head apart on the first shot; I guess that would not make for a pretty picture.  The story also is that Islamic tradition requires burial within 24 hours of death and, if you read the reports, it sounds to me like he was in the water within 2-3 hours of his demise.  They say they got rid of the body in accordance with Islamic tradition, but such tradition does not call for burial at sea, but burial in the ground.  Understanding the lies and deceptions that have come forth from this Administration from day one, I can see why you are suspicious.  Let’s see what comes out in the next few days.

Q.  I understand that Obama is getting ready to declare amnesty for all illegal aliens as an Executive Order.  Can that be true? (Barb ~ Reno, NV)
A.  It appears that, at the urging of Representative Luis Gutierrez, Obama has been holding meetings to determine whether or not he can do so.  Right now, who’s going to stop him… Osama Bin Laden?

Q.  Since Al Gore and his global warming cohorts got caught last year with phony scientific evidence, what has that movement been up to?  (Cora ~ Anderson, CA)
A.  Now the word from Stockholm is that the Arctic ice cap is melting at a much faster rate than expected and could raise sea levels by as much as five feet by the end of this century.  They are again sounding the alarm bells.  Maybe if we all leave our refrigerator doors open when we go to bed tonight, that will help.  Hey, Al, how’s your new SUV?

“It is vitally important that we implement immigration reform. We need a bill that strengthens our borders and protects this nation, but that also makes it simpler for good people to become Americans. ~ Dave Reichert
