WHITE HOUSE UNLOADS ON FOX

Hot on the heels of seizing and closing down over 73,000 blogs, a fact not covered anywhere in the news media, the Obama Administration has taken an overt turn in its war with Fox News by claiming that it was Fox who caused the Shirley Sherrod affair. It has been said that Sherrod was told to pull over off the road and resign because her tape was going to be center stage on the Glenn Beck Show that night. The fact is that the Sherrod story was not even mentioned on Glenn Beck’s show that night. The line from the White House is that they were “snookered” into firing Sherrod by Fox’s coverage of the affair, but Sherrod was fired before the story ever hit Fox News. There is concern that the White House may use this attack on Fox as an excuse to have the FCC jerk their license to broadcast.

COMMENTS:
If that should happen, I think there would be rioting in the streets of Washington. As dumb as they often appear to be, the Czars of the Inner Circle must be aware of that probability and I therefore doubt they will shut down Fox. Given the shutdown of those blogs, by the way, I really didn’t expect to be posting this one today.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What will happen with Charlie Rangel? (Julio ~ Des Plaines, IL)
A. By rights, he should go to jail. His illegal and unethical escapades have been well-known for several years and Nancy Pelosi has been at the forefront of his defense. However, the evidence is now so strong that not even Nancy can sweep it under the rug. He may get tossed out of Congress, but that is not a given. He will not face criminal charges and will not go to jail. Given that only 11% of Americans now think that Congress is worth a damn, anything could happen.

Q. What do you think will come of the U.S. vs. Arizona case on the illegal immigration issue? (Karen ~ San Jose, CA)
A. It is established law that the U.S. has jurisdiction over immigration matters. Years ago, the Feds enacted a law, which Arizona mimicked. There is a strong argument to throw out the Arizona law and that could happen. However, there is another underlying principle involved; if a responsibility and authority is yours, and you fail to exercise your authority and meet your responsibility, you “abdicate” it; you give your authority up. Holder might be unpleasantly surprised and we may hear today, surely by Monday.

Q. What about the hearings on The Hill about the release of the Lockerbie Bomber? (Penelope ~ Lincoln, CA)
A. It’s a very dangerous situation with all of that gas and hot air in one place at the same time.
