HUGO CHAVEZ WARNS U.S.

Hugo Chavez has threatened to cut off oil sales to the United States if Columbia goes after Columbian rebels hiding out in Venezuela. "If there is any armed aggression against Venezuela from Colombian territory or anywhere else supported by the Yankee empire, we ... would suspend shipments of oil to the United States!"

COMMENTS:
Gosh. Gee willikers! Didn’t he just give an autographed book to Barry? We’re been worrying about the two little sawed-off runts in North Korea and Iran and now we have to worry about Chavez, too? I thought all of this stuff was supposed to stop when Barry got his Nobel Peace Prize.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I hear Tony Hayward is being booted from BP. How come? (Norma ~ San Luis Obispo, CA)
A. Hayward was so intent on making money for BP that he ordered divisions to cut expenses and shave corners. Allegations have been made that he had a subcontractor pack the well at Deep Horizon to a lesser degree than required due to the depth, and that the shoddy job contributed to the disaster. Not that BP or BP ARCO has never done such a thing countless times before…..

Q. I heard yesterday that we are now actively considering military action against Iran. What do you think? (Lanny – Las Vegas, NV)
A. Iran has not slowed down its nuclear activity one bit; in fact, it’s picking up steam. There are those who think Obama doesn’t have the guts to go after Iran or anyone else, for that matter. But, the political landscape in the United States indicates that the current Washington regime is in deep mustard. I hate to say it, but 9/11 saved Bush a second term, and military actions have saved many a prior Presidency that was in trouble. If North Korea doesn’t do anything rash to get us into a skirmish with them, I look for us to go into Iran before the November elections. Good old Harry Reid might be able to hang on to his job yet…. You see, it’s all a game with those guys in Washington, and we’re the ones who get the shaft.

Q. Do you suppose terrorists and others are crossing the Canadian border like they are at the Mexican border? (Wanda ~ Palo Cedro, CA)
A. There’s a big difference between the governments of Canada and Mexico. I don’t think the Canadians willingly allow terrorists in to their country to start off with.

TODAY’S QUOTE:
"Our military and people will squarely respond to the nuclear war preparation by the American imperialists and the South Korean puppet regime with our powerful nuclear deterrent," the North Korean government-run Minju Joson newspaper said in a commentary headlined, "We also have nuclear weapons."
