CONGRESS PASSES FINANCIAL REFORM FARCE

The legislation gives regulators the far-reaching ability and time to come up with new rules, requires scores of studies and, in some instances, depends on international agreements falling into place.

COMMENTS:
It also establishes a new layer of Washington bureaucracy, fails to stop actions such as those by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that led us into this mess, and lets Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd off the hook for their disastrous role in our national depression. Yes, depression…. And my prediction is that, within two weeks after the November election, the stock market will be under 7,000 and we’ll be back in deep trouble with no money left in the till.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Presidents Bush and President Clinton usually made their quick speeches or pronouncements from the White House Press Room, but Obama has never appeared there. He always has these big “to-do” gatherings on the steps or in the White House. Why? (Wanda ~ Lafayette, IN)
A. As the Messiah, he fancies himself to have a flock which much be ministered to. Besides, going to the Press Room is not only beneath his dignity, it also opens him up to the possibility of having to answer an honest question.

Q. I suppose now that the oil leak has been capped, Obama will claim credit for it? (Al – Marshalltown, IA)
A. Someone has to grab credit for it and Al Gore is busy getting another massage. (You think she rubbed him in the wrong way?)

Q. Harry Reid is saying he will win in November. Is that possible? (Hank ~ Corning, CA)
A. If it does, the nation will quit going to Las Vegas. You can bet on that.

TODAY’S QUOTE: (Today’s Lesson in Gall 101)
“So the next thing I assume I'll be hearing from Republicans, they want to change rules some way, as they do on the House when you get a problem with ethics, they just change the rules.” ~Harry Reid
