Q. I was flabbergasted when I heard that Obama has not met with top officials of BP/ARCO over the disastrous oil spill. Why not, for God’s sake? (Karen ~ Orem, UT)A. Maybe BP refused and told him that, unlike GM, their board doesn’t report to him. Maybe they reminded him of their campaign contributions. Maybe he never asked for the contact because he doesn’t like Bush’s Texas, Jindal’s Louisiana or Crist’s Florida. Or, maybe he figures that the crisis will divert American’s attention from his Health Care abomination. Whatever it is, it is a mark of the man who calls himself President of the United States.
Q. Is Nancy Pelosi in political trouble like Harry Reid is? (Cy ~ Columbus, OH)
A. Reid has ticked off his political base by giving Nevada a very black eye. Pelosi’s political base loves her because they’re all like her... self-absorbing, arrogant and very radically liberal Progressive. Even the 49’rs want to leave town. Keep the Tums and wine handy.
Q. Why has the media all of the sudden clammed up about the economies of overseas countries? (Barry ~ Chico, CA)
A. No incumbent politician likes a stock market that is down in an election year. Talk of the looming European economic collapse just dampens American trading and we might hear for the first time that Goldman Sachs is being sued for $1 billion by an Australian hedge fund that invested in bad mortgages.
