NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION SAFETY BOARD FAILS TO ACT ON 16 SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

The NTSB has failed to act on general aviation safety recommendations that could have prevented the tragic collision of a helicopter and a fixed-wing small plane over the Hudson River which resulted in the deaths of nine people.

COMMENTS:
I wasn’t aware that Barney Frankfarter sat on that Board. The real problem here is that general aviation kills people. Planes and choppers should be illegal, except for the military, law enforcement, and care-flights. Such a prohibition would also greatly curtail illegal drug activity. Anyone found guilty of possession of such an aircraft and hiding it in a hangar would be guilty of having a concealed aircraft. The sale of aviation fuel to private individuals or companies should be prohibited. Members of Congress would be exempt from this prohibition.

A. If they ignore the public while they are hundreds or thousands of miles away and hiding in their offices in Washington, what makes you think that they want to listen to the public face-to-face in a Town Hall meeting? They are wearing their cram-down health-plan agendas on their sleeves, and the appearance thereon coincidentally looks and smells similar to pigeon dung.

A. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Q. Is it true that Obama wants to jail bloggers and journalists who speak out against his plans? (Marty – Albuquerque, NM)
A. I’ve said it before; you hit the nail on the head. That’s the real reason he wants to get the terrorists out of Gitmo, so he has a place to send his detractors where they won’t have access to the U.S. court system. But, I did hear that he plans to give each one of us a copy of the Koran to study.
