CAN’T GET PAST THE SMELT TEST

Frivolously spending money on everything except building more dams and desalinization plants has contributed immensely to the lack of water in the current drought, (see WE’RE NOT TO BLAME).   But, a major villain is probably the 3-inch Delta Smelt.  Since 2008, authorities have allowed water to escape uncaptured from land into the San Francisco Bay in an effort save the smelt. The water, enough to quench the thirsts of 6.4 million Californians for six years, isn’t even used once before it pours into the bay.  And, drought or no drought, the smelt continue to maintain their priority.

This is no red herring.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think the two New York escapees will ever get caught?  (Christian ~ Tupelo, MS)
A. Not in the immediate future.  The escape was well-conceived, planned and executed.  It required outside help, which means they probably didn’t solely trust Mitchell to meet them at the manhole and that they had a backup plan.  I think the “sightings” at various locations have been the result of either misidentification or someone trying to get their own names in the headlines.  It is also my opinion that the construction crews working inside the prison had something to do with the escape.  Look for somebody with an orange complexion; they had to crawl through those rusty steam pipes.

Q. Is it true that the U.S. State Department is paying to fly illegals into the country?  (Faye ~ Morgan Hill, CA)
A. Obama is concerned about the welfare of minors when making the long, illegal journey to our borders, so he has arranged for them to be flown here at our expense.  These are kids from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras and, since they are poor, we are picking up the entire tab.  I have no information as to whether they are flying first class or by charter.

Q. It seems to me that the race riots in New York City, Ferguson, Baltimore and so forth are breeding grounds for recruitment of I.S.I.S. terrorists.  Is that possible?  (Saratoga ~ Fresno, CA)
A. It’s not only possible, but probable.  According to the Department of Justice, young people in such cities, especially Baltimore, are trying to sign up for the terrorist group in record numbers.  This, of course, raises the specter of having our own citizens committing terrorist acts right here at home… somewhat worse than throwing tantrums to get what they want for Christmas.
