CALIFORNIA CITY BANS SODAS FOR KIDS

The Davis City Council has voted unanimously to make it illegal to sell soda drinks to children.  Under the new law, businesses will face fines from the city of Davis if employees don’t comply with the ordinance.  The law, which is designed to keep sugary soft drinks from kids and which still needs a second vote to pass, is planned to go into effect on Sept. 1.

COMMENTS:
It is acknowledged that parents could buy sodas and give them to their children and there is nothing the city can do about that.  There seems to be no end to the continuing parade of idiocratic, stupid laws which insert themselves into personal business.  Obviously, we need to pass a law making it illegal for them not to pull their  zipper down before taking a leak.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What is this story about Hillary having to beg for people to come to one of her speaking events?  (Liem ~ Seattle, WA)
A. She was hosting a $2,700 per-ticket “Women’s Only” fundraiser about a week or so ago and had to open it to men because she wasn’t selling enough tickets.  The goal was 125 tickets sold, but after only 50 people coughed up enough to attend the event, deadlines were pushed back and men were invited.  Even so, the total was only about 90.  Don’t you wonder why the liberal left-wing press didn’t report on it?

Q. Baltimore’s mayor, the one who fomented violence and gave “space” to rioters so they could burn down the city, is now asking us to fork over $20 million to help her pay for the damage.  Will we pay it?  (Shep ~ Glendale, CA)
A. You have a Black Mayor, a Black President and a Black Attorney General, all of which are Black activists.  The payout is written in the wind, and I don’t think the city will even have to match a dime of it.

Q. What is this country coming to?  Students in a Minneapolis public school were taken to a sex shop?  (Ilene ~ Hanover, MA)
A. What’s wrong with that?  If children are going to be allowed to choose what sex they want to be, shouldn’t they also be allowed to determine who has the best toys?
