JUDGE SLAMS BRADY GUN CONTROL CAMPAIGN

According to a report on FOX NEWS, the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence has been ordered to pay the legal fees of a defendant in a legal case, where the Brady organization said that the seller of ammunition used in the Colorado movie theater massacre should be held liable for those deaths.  The Judge said the suit was filed for propaganda purposes. "It is apparent that this case was filed to pursue the political purposes of the Brady Center and, given the failure to present any cognizable legal claim, bringing these defendants into the Colorado court where the prosecution of James Holmes was proceeding appears to be more of an opportunity to propagandize the public and stigmatize the defendants than to obtain a court order."

COMMENTS:

One of the tactics of the anti-gunners is to cause financial harm to pro-gunners by making them defend themselves in lawsuits.  The decision was well-founded and right on.  It’s the only piece of sound judicial reasoning in a long time; it’s too bad that Judge doesn’t sit on the Supreme Court.

A. I wouldn’t.  He’s going to spend the rest of his life in high security prisons and nobody there likes a snitch.  Maybe they could threaten to lock him up with Hillary?

A. Keep your eyes open and report anything you see that seems out of place or unusual.  Be particularly alert around crowds, dams, utility lines and national monuments.  Just the fact that we are in fear of such an attack is enough terrorism for me.

WILL GREECE CROAK?

The banks in Greece will be closed Monday in order to prevent a collapse of the country’s banking system; the European Central Bank has refused to increase the amount of emergency loans it provides for the country’s cash-strapped lenders.  Athens will almost certainly default on a $1.72 billion payment it owes the International Monetary Fund on Tuesday. Greece’s international bailout expires the same day, meaning the country will no longer be under the umbrella of the international rescue package. Finance ministers of other Eurozone countries rejected Greece’s request for a one-month bailout extension to give it time to hold a referendum. 

COMMENTS:

The Greek economy is once again on the precipice of collapse and even closer than it has been before.  Such a failure could signal the start of a worldwide economic calamity… even another Great Depression.  This is not a good time to be in the stock market; not even Obama could save us.

A. The Constitution explicitly provides that anything not covered in the Constitution is reserved to the States and the people to decide; no exceptions are provided for.  Marriage is not mentioned.  It is therefore solely a right of each individual state to decide.  Some states are for it, some are not, but the Federal courts and the Supreme Court have absolutely no jurisdiction over the matter… period.  My personal beliefs are beside the point, but I care little about whether or not two gays have a civil union if the state law allows for it.  California voted overwhelmingly against gay marriage… twice.  Finally, the next step in this vendetta against my religious beliefs will be the requirement that the churches conduct gay weddings or lose their tax exempt status, and that amounts to religious persecution.  The Bill of Rights has been trampled upon and yes, I’m damned pissed off about it, for the same reason I’m pissed off about having to pay for someone else’s healthcare. And, you have no right to label me a bigot simply because I vehemently disagree with you.

SUPREME COURT DECISIONS BEYOND LEGALLY OUTRAGEOUS

Just about anybody and everybody who knows anything about the history of law in this country is agreeing: With yesterday’s ruling on gay marriage, the Supreme Court clearly crossed the boundary between judiciary and legislative powers so carefully set up and, until now, protected by the Constitution. 

COMMENTS:

There’s nothing that I can say that would be profound enough to address my severe disappointment and utter disgust.  Perhaps the time has come when states should again start seceding from the Union?

A. You and the rest of the country may see it that way, but Obama does not; it’s HIS house.  If he were to concede that it is the “people’s house,” that would imply to him that the people have some say-so over what goes on there; no emperor would ever tolerate that line of thinking.  The only thing “the people” are good for is mowing HIS lawn. 

Q. The House is talking about impeaching I.R.S. Commissioner Koskinen over his outright lies and stonewalling regarding the missing emails.  Do you think they should?  (Riley ~ Salem, OR)

A. It’s a waste of time.  Obama will dissolve the impeachment committee by Executive Order and the Supreme Court will back him up.  That’s not being sarcastic or facetious; the way we have allowed this government to trample our democracy, it’s likely to be the truth.

Justice Antonin Scalia, in a hotly-worded minority opinion on the Supreme Court’s decision, suggested that ObamaCare should be called “Scotus Care.”

Absolutely disgusted.  I guess Obama’s threatening stance on the issue a month ago must have surely intimidated the Court, because no legitimate legal scholar could possibly stretch judicial reasoning to rule this way… the way that Justice Roberts did in writing his opinion.  Every law professor I ever had, and all of the forefathers of this country, are most certainly spinning in their graves.

A. They are afraid of him.  He’s not part of the “establishment.”  He’s also got a leg up on them, because he doesn’t have to go out and sell his soul to raise campaign money.  He’s not like the rest of them who are somewhat like birds of a feather… all mouth and no ass.

A. He’ll find some way to declare victory, or he might lay the blame on Netanyahu.  And he’ll then head to a golf course.  He will not… repeat NOT… do anything to stop them from getting their nukes.

I.S.I.S. ATTACK ON U.S. SOIL THWARTED

From BREITBART.COM:  “Justin Nojan Sullivan, 19, of North Carolina, has been charged with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State terror group, the FBI revealed Monday.  The aspiring jihadi was set on purchasing an AR-15 at a North Carolina gun show on Saturday, which he would use as part of a wider plan to kill as many as 1,000 Americans, the complaint against Sullivan said.  On April 21, 2015, Sullivan’s own father reported his son to the police, telling authorities that he was 'scared to leave the house.'”

Now hear this: The feds got it right again; but, there are so many isolated cases of these would-be I.S.I.S. terrorists that it is only a matter of when… not if… a horrible terrorist act takes place in this country.  What proactive stance has your president taken to address this probability?

A. Could it be that they want you to be ready to pay more to get your old speed back?  Or, maybe they’re just taking undue advantage of the new Net Neutrality law.  Right after AT&T got fined for deliberately slowing data a few days ago, I noticed a dramatic drop in my Internet speed as well.  Maybe we should switch to a Chinese provider?  They seem to be able to get all of the way into any website in the world, rickety split.
