ELECTRIC RATES TO SKYROCKET

The Obama Administration has announced sweeping new carbon emissions standards on thousands of fossil-fuel burning plants across the country.  These changes, taking effect in steps through 2030, are calculated to cause electrical energy prices to double or even triple.

COMMENTS:

There’s no end to the oppressive and bad news this President parades out to Americans on a daily basis.  What has to happen is that the Republicans, as little as I like the hierarchy, have to storm Washington in November and seize a majority in both the House and the Senate.  I find myself in the awkward position of supporting them.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. What do you think Obama and Hillary Clinton discussed during their private, unscheduled meeting last week?  (Rodney ~ Detroit, MI)
A. You can bet your sweet bippees it wasn’t the name of the Washington Redskins.  It could have been about the possibility of Michelle becoming Hillary’s running mate.  More than likely, it was about the upcoming House Select Committee Hearings into the Benghazi Massacre and cover-up.

Q. There has been a bill introduced to increase the number of V.A. hospitals by 27.  How can they justify that before fixing the problems in the ones they already have?  Aren’t they just making the problem bigger?  (Val ~ Reno, NV)
A. You are absolutely correct.  Don’t ever try to run for an office in Washington D.C….. You don’t stand a chance because you think logically and clearly and those guys operate in the ozone layer with smoke and mirrors.

Q. I must be stupid or something.  The unemployment rate is lower than it’s been in years, but everybody seems to be out of work.  What is going on?  (Rhonda ~ National City, CA)
A. You’re not stupid and you’re not blind.  The American public tends to think that a declining unemployment rate means that more people are finding jobs. While President Obama proudly extols the nation’s 6.7 percent unemployment rate, he studiously avoids revealing that the U6 unemployment rate is more than 14 percent (probably actually exceeds 20 percent).  The current labor participation rate is at a historical low of just 63.2 percent. In other words, of all the people in America who are of working age, only 63.2 percent are actually working.  In short, you’re correct and Obama is not telling the whole truth.  Now then… you already knew that, didn’t you?
