The White House has been saying for several days that signups for ObamaCare are “lower than expected.” News coming out yesterday indicates that fewer than 22% of the critical young uninsured folks are even interested in considering signing up.
COMMENTS:
If they don’t get the numbers, they can’t make it work. I remind you that if people refuse to sign up, the government can’t throw us all in jail, so you can vote against it by not
signing up. Word has it that Bloomberg
renamed a New York City garbage scow “ObamaCare” and the captain and crew mutinied. Even Obama’s own doctor is refusing to accept
ObamaCare. Maybe some of those dead guys collecting Social
Security checks for the last 15 years will sign up….
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think the Republicans will ever come up with their
own, unified plan for health care?
(Madge ~ Woodland, CA)
A. Not while Obama is still President and not unless they
can take back the Senate. To try
and do so would be a sure exercise in futility, as it would never get signed by
Obama. Well… maybe… when pigs fly.
Q. I understand a Massachusetts dimwit politician has put
forth a measure to allow cops to enter your home without a warrant to ascertain
that you are storing your guns in compliance with the law. Isn’t that an illegal search without a
warrant? (Running Wolf ~ Helena, MT)
A. What difference does that make? Some of those “dimwits” have it ingrained
into their illustrious minds that the ends justify the means. He’s hoping the cops will bang down your door
and catch you in the act of cleaning your howitzer, which should be under lock
and key. Nevertheless, Massachusetts
will probably go ahead and pass it.
Q. What do you think about CNN moving away from doing the
full-blown news service and going into travel shows and unscripted
formats? (Twilah ~ Elko, NV)
A. FOX has been the dominant news source on cable for a long
time, probably because they try to be open-minded and balanced. Nevertheless,
when it comes to news I do think the more sources we Americans have the better
off we are. I rarely watch CNN because I
know they are biased, but will be sorry to see the diminished content.
