IRANIAN NUKE TALKS STALL FOR UMPTEENTH TIME

True to predictions in most knowledgeable quarters, the talks between Iran and six major world powers to curtail Iran’s nuclear weapons ambitions have stalled.  Israel has voiced strong objections to a proposed agreement favored by the U.S which would leave Iran with most of its nuclear program intact and the ability to proceed to a nuclear weapon almost overnight.  They would have agreed to stop short of a nuclear weapon in return for a reduction in sanctions.  France has taken Israel’s side.  If some agreement is not made this weekend, there is speculation talks would resume in one to two weeks.

COMMENTS:
It is becoming more and more clear that Obama has no intention of helping Israel defend itself.  Just a few days ago, Secretary of State John Kerry warned Israel that it has better come to terms with Palestine and in a hurry; otherwise, there will be violence.  That position has pushed American-Israeli relations to the brink of total breakdown.  And, while we’re talking another delay of one to two weeks, we could be only one to two weeks away from an Iranian announcement that they have their nuke and the world had better pay attention and back off.  What’s scary is that our position is being outlined by the inventor of ObamaCare.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think Obama’s credibility has been significantly hurt with his ObamaCare stuff?  (Oren ~ Pacifica, CA)
A. As far as I am concerned, he never had any credibility to start with.  I’ve said for a long time on my blogs to not pay attention to anything he says, pay attention to what he does.

Q. With all of the bad news about ObamaCare, aren’t they really going to have to trash it or change it drastically?” (Bernice ~ Mountain Home, ID)
A. I’ve said this many times: Obama is not going to allow any steps to be taken that might lead to a diminishing or extinguishing of his prized ObamaCare… period.  The House may originate such an idea and the Senate will squash it.  Even if there were enough Democrats in the Senate to get upset with ObamaCare and some legislation were to squeak through, Obama would veto it and no way are there enough votes to override a veto.  So, the nation can cry, whine, yell and scream; the last chance to end this nightmare was squashed with the attempt to defund ObamaCare, unless... they don’t get enough people to sign up to make it work.

Q. Now I hear there’s a move on to ban the Star Spangled Banner from sports games?  (Kim ~ Seattle, WA)
A. Not exactly a movement.  Kevin Blackistone of the Dallas Morning News says that football games should not include the singing of the national anthem beforehand, as that adds to the “military symbolism.” He’s actually called the Star-Spangled Banner a “war anthem.” Honk if you think he’s a jackass.
