On Friday, October 11th, America’s truckers will descend on Washington, DC to clog the inner loop of the Washington, D.C., beltway and make traffic miserable for the nation’s capitol. Their protest is to be called “Truckers Ride for the Constitution.” On Sunday the 13th, non-partisans across America who support the military and veterans are being asked to march on Washington to protest the government’s closing of access to war memorials; they’re also being called up to march on veteran memorials across the country.
COMMENTS:
You can find a list of rallying points for the “Million Vet
March” here. It’s about time Americans got motivated and
started letting the idiots in Washington know where we stand. We need to stand behind our military veterans
and we need to stand up for our Constitution.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. The way things are stacking up, I have a new analogy about
what’s really going on with the government shutdown: We’re at war. It’s the left-wing liberals, the Democrat
zombies, the President, the press and the media against the rest of the
American citizens. Would I be correct in
saying that? (Percy ~ Spokane, WA)
A. I think that’s a fair summation. They certainly have been denigrating the Tea
Parties, the Republicans, the Conservatives and they have been actively trying
to “get even” with the rest of Americans by shutting down parks and monuments
and eliminating the Amber Alert, among other things.
Q. I read that one of Obama’s preferred golf courses, the course on Andrews
Air Force Base, is still open during the government shutdown. The commissaries,
(grocery stores), on the base where troops get discounted groceries for their
families are, however, closed. What gives with this? (Mark ~ San Antonio, TX)
A. Obama makes no bones about it; he despises the military
and veterans because they predominantly vote against him. As for the golf course, he did remark to
someone that he wouldn’t play any golf until the shutdown was resolved, but I
don’t know that he’s sticking to his guns or not.
Q. Did I hear that some private homeowners are being forced
out of their homes due to the shutdown? (Grace
~ Lancaster, CA)
A. Private homes located on Federal lands, such as within Federal
parks, or located on roads primarily owned and serviced by the Federal
government, are out of luck; the roads have been barricaded. Some schools in
the Great Smokey Mountains were not even told their access roads were being
closed, thereby stranding school children at school. Aren’t you glad you voted for him?
