“INTELLIGENT” DRONES

They are already working on the next evolution of drone technology, which will include making them more precise and less damaging to civilians, with longer range and better staying power. Drones may eventually have the technical ability to make even lethal decisions autonomously, to respond to a programmed set of inputs, select a target and fire their weapons without a human reviewing or checking the result.

Can’t you just see it now?  Do you think this President would hesitate for one minute to sick automated drones on House Republicans, and then to get on Air Force One and fly to Las Vegas while saying, “Damned drones anyway?”
