Syria is very much aligned with Iran. Iran hates Israel. Syria, in the midst of a civil war, has
managed to fire mortar shells into Israel.
The governments of Egypt, Yemen and at least Libya are very unstable. The Muslim Brotherhood is gaining strong influence
in the region and Iran is only a few months, perhaps even a few weeks away from
being able to place a nuclear weapon on a missile. Will the Middle East explode into war?
COMMENTS:
Don’t worry about a thing.
President Obama has everything under control. If anyone over there starts something, he’ll
head to Vegas to start campaigning for his third term. Yes, it’s a deadly tinderbox and, unfortunately,
Obama lacks the ability to deal effectively with it. Too bad Petraeus isn’t around to help him….
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What’s your opinion on taxing the rich more? I see Bill Kristol is in favor of it. (Rex ~ Coelho, CA)
A. If you raise the standard from $250,000 to $400,000, I’m
in favor of it. There are too many small
business owners in the $250,000 range that would probably close their doors or
scale back operations if we tax them more.
However, I am quick to also say that there should not be one dime of
additional taxes unless there are significant and actual spending cuts to go along with it.
Q. Do you think Obama will have the opportunity to name
another Supreme Court Justice, and if so will it hurt us or be good for
us? (Elaine ~ San Pedro, CA)
A. The odds are that he will name another Justice and that
the appointment will guarantee left-wing liberals a majority vote on the bench,
meaning that Obama will be able to do anything he wants and even the Supreme
Court won’t stop him. This country has
no idea how badly it screwed itself on November 6th.
Q. I remember very well the New Black Panther Party
intimidation of white voters at the Philadelphia polls in 2008 and the fact
that Holder dropped charges against them.
Now it leaks out that six of Philadelphia's 66 wards handed the
President victory shares of 99 percent or better this year. In 20 of the wards, the Obama vote totals
exceeded 97 percent. In 59 of
Philadelphia's "divisions," subsets of wards, where fewer than 1,000
people could be registered to vote, Romney failed to win even a single vote.
Collectively, the votes for Obama across these divisions added up to 19,605, to
Romney's zero. If this doesn’t smell
like voting fraud, nothing does. What
are they going to do about it? (Alberta ~ Port Townsend, WA)
A. It didn’t just happen in Philadelphia; it was
widespread. In 10 of Chicago's 50 wards,
for example, the Obama-Biden ticket captured 98 percent of the vote or more; in
six of those wards, the figure climbed to 99 percent. No one is planning an investigation,
however. So, forget about it; they got
away with it. T.S.
