“Don’t you dare question Susan Rice and what she said or you will pay my penalty!” That’s the essence of President Obama’s answer to questions yesterday about how he can possibly consider nominating her to be Secretary of State when she obviously lied to five major networks about the Benghazi affair. "Let me say specifically about Susan Rice: She has done exemplary work. She has represented the United States and our interests in the United Nations with skill and professionalism and toughness and grace. And should I choose, if I think that she would be the best person to serve America in the capacity of the State Department, then I will nominate her," he challenged. "We're after an election now."

And just who is
going to stop him? The Republicans?
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I just had a call from some conservative organization
asking me to donate to the cause of impeaching Barack Obama. Do you think he’ll be impeached? (Minerva ~ Las Vegas, NV)
A. That is nothing more than a gimmick to get you to fork
over your hard-earned money to a worthless cause. In the first place, you have to get Articles
of Impeachment passed by the full House of Representatives. You’re talking about a bunch of brainless
idiots in the Republican Party who couldn’t defeat him in the election, who got
successfully outwitted by Holder and Obama in the Fast & Furious
investigation and who consistently have backed down against the Democrats in
the past; even if they managed to pass
Articles of Impeachment, I have to think they would be flawed in some way. Then, the Articles go to the Senate for the
actual Impeachment Trial. Do you
honestly think Harry Reid is going to let his Democratic-controlled Senate
impeach Obama?
Q. I’m upset. I just
found out that UPS has been donating a large amount of money to the Boy Scouts’
national organization. Well, they have
decided to quit donating because the Boy Scouts will not admit gays. That issue has been litigated all of the way
to the Supreme Court and the Court ruled that the Boy Scouts can indeed exclude
gays. I’m so mad I could spit fire. What can we do about that? (Elton ~ Butte, MT)
A. First off, it’s a donation and UPS is free to donate to
whomever they want. Just because you
ship through them, you don’t own stock or have to right to tell them who to
donate to. However, you are also a
consumer and you do have the right to send them a letter of complaint, you have a
right to quit shipping through them and you have a right to request anyone who
is sending you a package to use FedEx or USPS, for example. And you have the right tell all of your
friends about your position. As far as I
am concerned, my family has been involved with the Boy Scouts all of the way
back to its beginning and I agree with you 100%. They are a private organization and they have
every right to limit membership to those who share particular values. UPS is, frankly, showing extremely poor business
judgment to stick its nose into such issues.
Q. How was the emailing done between Petraeus, Kelley,
Broadwell and Allen that was so tricky? (Liza ~ Reno, NV)
A. Okay, Liza, here’s how it works. You and I are going to have an affair and for
various reasons, we need to keep it secret.
But, we want to be able to communicate with each other in a manner that
cannot be traced. So, you set up an
email account at yazoo.com with a user name of Marriott. It’s Marriott@yazoo.com. You give me the username and pass code. Then you get onto the email account and draft
a message to a fake email account someplace else and you save it as a
draft. I come along, sign in and check
the drafts, read your email and create a reply and save it in the draft
folder. In this manner, we are not
actually sending emails to each other that can be electronically traced. The problem arises when the FBI starts
looking into the IP address of those who have accessed the account; if one is
going to play this game, he should use the computer at the library or Charlie Sheen's pad.
