RUSSIA WARNS TURKEY

Turkey has requested patriot missiles to defend its border with Syria from “spillovers” of the internal conflict there.   Even if NATO quickly approves Turkey's request for the deployment of Patriot missiles on its border with Syria, selecting sites for the air defense batteries and getting them there means they probably wouldn't be operational for weeks.  Russia has warned against such deployment: "We have different advice for our Turkish colleagues -- use their influence with the Syrian opposition to accelerate the start of a political dialogue."  (FOX NEWS REPORT)

COMMENTS:
Russia backs both Syrian President Assad and the Iranian regime.  Turkey has every right to defend itself against attacks from outside its borders, inadvertent or not.  Turkey is also edging away from its relationship with the U.S., which leaves us with Israel being our own firm ally in the entire Middle East.  Even the freed Iraqis are rapidly moving away from us.  We can no longer realistically bury our heads in the sand and pretend that everything is hunky dory over there.  If Israel falls, then we are soon going to be faced with war… us versus Russia, China and the entire Middle East.  In my opinion, Obama either doesn’t understand those basic facts or he just doesn’t care.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why is Susan Rice picking Thanksgiving Day weekend to come out and talk about her lies on September 14th about the Benghazi attack?  (Valerie ~ Salem, OR)
A. Obama has made it abundantly clear that Susan Rice will be his next Secretary of State, come hell or high water.  The only plausible explanation for her prior statements is that she was relying on information provided to her.  Petraeus came out and said his CIA Talking Points memo pointed to Al Qaeda as the cause for the Benghazi Massacre, so the spin had to be that the Talking Points were altered sometime after Petraeus wrote them.  Director of National Intelligence Clapper said he didn’t do it, so that left someone in the White House, which was not an acceptable alternative either.  With pressure mounting, Clapper changed his story and said he made the changes; he’s taking the fall, undoubtedly with a gun pointed to his head.  That opens the door for Rice to come forward herself and say that her statements were based on information provided to her.  Now, Obama has made this into a challenge, a vendetta; he will have his way.  This weekend was picked because Congress is out of town on holiday and the Republicans won't be able to organize a quick and vocal response.  If the Republicans don’t promptly cave in, look for Clinton to resign early, by mid-December, and for Obama to appoint Rice as an “emergency recess appointment.”  He will win and he doesn’t care who thinks what about the way he wins.

Q. Do you think it will ever happen that they take away the right for citizens to own guns?  (Vic ~ Sacramento, CA)
A. If it is ever going to happen, it will happen within the next four years.  And I do not think gun-owning Americans are going to give them up willingly.  I frankly do not personally wish to be put into the position of having to decide whether or not to shoot some fellow American who is trying to take my guns from me under Obama's orders.

Q. How do you feel about the argument over whether or not a company should be required to provide and pay for insurance that covers abortions and abortion pills?  (Francisco ~ Whittier, CA)
A. I do not believe in abortion as a birth control measure.  I believe that regardless of what human law says, whenever a child is aborted a human soul is denied the right to physical life.  I do believe in and subscribe to abortion where the life of the mother is in jeopardy, (rare), rape or incest.  With those exceptions, I do not believe the government should be using my tax money to fund abortions or abortion pills and I do not believe I should be required to provide my employees with it, either.  Employees have every right to choose whether or not to work for me based on the pay and benefits I provide.  The decision by a Judge to force an employer to pay for such insurance against their religious beliefs is direct religious persecution.
