Evidence is growing that Premier Obama made deals with drug companies to get them to drop objections to ObamaCare. Pfizer Inc. and Merck & Co. are being pulled into an expanding Congressional investigation into the deal drug-makers cut with Obama to support his new healthcare plan, according to people familiar with the talks.
COMMENTS:
It’s the weekend and the bad-smelling news is leaking out
again. This story will grow bigger in
coming days. Obama is a gangster Premier
in sheep’s clothing. He has once again
sold the country down the river in order to further his own Marxist agenda.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I see that Spirit Airlines has backed down and offered to
refund the dying Marine’s airfare and contribute $5,000 to the Wounded Warriors
Memorial Fund. How do you feel about
that? (Lance ~ Reno, NV)
A. Lesson learned.
That takes them out of the category of other companies, such as Netflix,
who never did learn the lesson. I’ll
take their apology at face value. One
thing I learned many years ago is that every rule needs to allow for
exceptions. Stuff happens, and no rule
can foresee all of that “stuff.”
Q. I hear that Russia is now rattling its saber against the
U.S. over missile sites? What’s the
story? (Bourbon ~ Albuquerque, NM)
A. Russia is saying that it will “preemptively” strike and
destroy U.S.-led NATO missile defense sites in Eastern Europe if talks with
Washington about the developing system continue to stall. The U.S. insists that the sites are aimed at
Iranian targets, but fails to recognize that Russia and Iran are in bed
together. Under Obama, we can’t deal
effectively with any confrontations, so I suspect he’ll make a trip to Moscow
and bow to Putin right after the November elections. Maybe then we’ll learn what the whispers were
all about.
Q. You told us about Spain’s economic disaster. Now Britain is in another recession. Why is the media hiding all of this? (Chastity ~ Des Moines, IA)
A. Because the media supports Obama and does not want any
adverse stories to be published that might diminish his chances for reelection. Bad economic news is in that category, regardless
of where it originates. It’s no secret that
Obama has warned the media to tow his line or they will regret it.
TODAY’S QUOTE:
“In order to pay for it,
[House Republicans] are going to make an assault on women’s health, make
another assault on women’s health, continue our assault on women’s health and
pay for this with prevention initiatives that are in effect right now for
childhood immunization; for screening for breast cancer, for cervical cancer;
and for initiatives to reduce birth defects – a large part of what the Center
for Disease Control does in terms of prevention.” ~ Nancy Pelosi on Republican
plans to offset the one-year extension of the 3.4 percent student loan rate by
taking money out of a fund she believes is imperative to the “survival to
women.”
