With all of the hoopla over well-known names in the
Republican Presidential race, the name of Thaddeus McCotter has gone totally
disregarded.
COMMENTS:
And Tim Pawlenty had plenty enough, he dropped out. Thaddeus got 35 votes in Iowa out of 16,892
cast and finished dead last. He’s a U.S.
Representative to Congress from Michigan’s 11th District and comes
from large family with 34 brothers and sisters. I thought you had heard of him; I mean,
anybody who’s ever heard of Tim
Pawlenty must have heard of Thaddeus
McCotter.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Rick Perry went ahead and announced his candidacy for
President yesterday. How does that change things in the field? (Maria ~ Sacramento, CA)
A. He will bear no weight.
He has alienated people with his lack of class by entering in the virtual middle
of the Iowa straw vote. America wants class and they want
leadership. Perry didn’t show class and
that speaks to his leadership. He’s
placed himself with Santorum, Huntsman, Pawlenty and McCotter as being “an
also ran.” (Sounds like a law firm, doesn’t it?)
Q. With all of the negativity now arising against Michele
Bachmann from the left, does she really stand a chance? (Boris ~ Sacramento, CA)
A. Absolutely. She’s
a fresh voice, she emanates patriotism, she’s not afraid to get in Obama’s face
and she means what is best for the country.
Give her a running mate such as Herman Cain or Mike Huckabee, and she’s
formidable.
Q. Ron Paul says we should get out of Iraq, Afghanistan and
Libya. What’s your opinion? (Felicia ~ Salt Lake City, UT)
A. We do not belong in Libya, period. We never should have gone there unless
specifically asked by the United Nations and approved by Congress.
As far as Iraq and Afghanistan, I believe we have the right to be there,
but only if we are dedicated to winning the wars. We do not seem to be so dedicated, according
to Santorum, Huntsman, Pawlenty and McCotter.
