In a divided opinion, a three-judge panel of the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled yesterday that the individual mandate requirement of ObamaCare is unconstitutional. If the White House chooses to appeal and if the full Court agrees, the case will now be heard by the full 11th Circuit Court and then go to the Supreme Court.
COMMENTS:
In a week that underscored Obama’s extensive weaknesses,
this decision came as a serious blow.
The two judges who ruled against ObamaCare in this decision were both
appointed by Clinton. 26 states were
backing this lawsuit. I think Obama must
have his tail tucked between his legs.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Obama is blaming everyone except himself for the mess he’s
lead us further into. Now, he’s talking
like a Washington outsider claiming it’s time to change Washington. When he says that, he’s really saying it’s
time to change his leadership. Finally, he agrees with us! (Barry ~ Provo, UT)
A. Hey! Who’s writing
this blog, anyway? He can’t run on his
accomplishments; he has none. What’s he
going to stump about, ObamaCare when 70% of the people don’t want it? Job creation?
The strong economy? I agree with
those in the know who insist that the only choice he has is to run a really
gutter-style negative campaign, and I think Americans are so sick and fed up
with that style that he just could be toast in November of 2012, if he makes it
that long. Now comes forward a respected
forgery investigator who is claiming that he, himself, created Obama’s latest
birth certificate. Oh, my. If that is true, and Obama has been touting
it as the real thing, impeachment might be in the air.
Q. One good sign is that retail sales were up in July. Is that why the stock market is coming
back? (Gaspar ~ Sun City, AZ)
A. Everything in life is temporary. This last week has had so much bad news that
confidence in the government and in America’s future has hit an all time low
and that will translate into lower retail sales and potential layoffs. The stock market is just as desperate for
good news as we are.
Q. Rick Perry is announcing his bid for the Presidency and
Sarah Palin showed up in Iowa and really sounded more and more like she might
jump in. Then what? (Manny ~ Davis, CA)
A. Don’t get rambunctious. John McCain, Fred Thompson and John Bolton haven’t announced
yet.
