AMERICAN CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT TANKS ALONG WITH STOCK MARKET

The Dow dropped another 520 points yesterday and confidence in Congress hit a record low, while more and more liberal Democrats are expressing dismay in the performance of President Obama.  Depending on the poll, only 18% to 20% of Americans think Congress is doing an acceptable job.  The majority of Americans, 77%, express varying concerns about the economy and most of those are sure we are headed into another recession, or worse.

COMMENTS:
In the middle of the worst crisis to face this nation in decades, Congress and the President remain on vacation.  We need to fire them; all of them. They're shucking and ducking.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Is Obama delusional? He’s negotiated a secret deal with Hollywood to produce and release a movie about capturing and killing Osama, to be released exactly one month before the November 2012 elections.  To make it more of a blockbuster, he’s authorized the release of highly classified information to be included.  Doesn’t he understand we can see right through that bull?  He would rather pull those thinly disguised tricks than just do his damned job?  (LeRoy ~ South San Francisco, CA)
A. You nailed it.

Q. What do you think of Harry Reid’s Senate picks so far for the “Special Committee,” John Kerry, Max Baucus, and Patty Murray? And what about the Republicans’ Senate picks, John Kyl, Pat Toomey, and Rob Portman, as well as the Republican House picks John Hensarling, Fred Upton and Dave Camp?  (Brette ~ Tempe, AZ)
A. You don’t ask why the House Democrats haven’t made their picks?  Because Nancy Pelosi wanted the three to be Nancy Pelosi, Nancy Pelosi, and Nancy Pelosi.  As far as the Democratic Senate picks, they may as well have chosen John Dillinger, Guido LaCumbre and Benny Hill; there will be absolutely no room for compromise from those far-leftists which means, depending on who the three House picks eventually are, we are already destined for a Mexican standoff; what a joke and the joke is on us!  The Republican picks are by-and large okay, yawners to say the least, but I do like John Kyl and Pat Toomey.

Q. This rioting situation in England is out of hand and disturbing.  Yet, it was created by their economic situation.  Are we in danger of the same thing happening here? (Morgan ~ Chico, CA)
A. Yes.  People are madder than hell.

TODAY’S QUOTE:
“The work of this Committee will affect all Americans, and its deliberations should be open the press, to the public and webcast ... Any acceptance of the Committee proposal will be dependent on the ability of the American people to fully view its proceedings.” ~ Nancy Pelosi, Grand Madame of ObamaCare which was written in secrecy behind closed doors
