QADDAFI BITES THE DUST?

At blog press time last night, it appeared that Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi has split the scene.  No one knows exactly where he has gone, but one of his sons has been arrested and a daughter has defected to the rebel cause.

COMMENTS:
Now comes what Obama did not tell you when he committed us to a one-month excursion in Libya against the wishes of Congress.  NATO will undoubtedly move in to provide stability to the region and rebuilding of the country and its infrastructure will begin.  NATO, which is really a paper tiger under U.S. control, will chip in hundreds of billions of dollars which we will provide, of course.  All of the sudden, that $14.6 trillion deficit we have is going to rise to well over $15.6 trillion when you throw in the President’s “new” stimulus plans.  And the Super Committee of 12 hasn’t even met yet.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I saw somewhere that if Obama is not stopped, we will have a deficit of $800 trillion in 20 years.  My God, how can that be?  (Merlyn ~ Layton, UT)
A. You didn’t hear it correctly.  It’s 800% of gross national product.  I don’t know, however, that it makes a difference; we’ll still be in deep doo doo.

Q. Can Obama possibly win a second term?  (Sandie ~ Anderson, CA)
A. Yes, if enough people vote for him.  The problem here is that about 50% of the country falls into the category of unemployed, under-employed, retired, on disability, on welfare or in other ways on the government dole.  Obama wants to give them more money.  How do you think they and the illegal aliens are going to vote?

Q. The stock market woes are fueling economic fears.  This whole debacle seems to be spiraling out of control. What could Obama possibly say to reverse this ominous trend?  (Henry ~ Portland, OR)
A. “I resign.”

TODAY’S QUOTE:
“But so far, you know who's been violating the nuclear nonproliferation pact day and night? Those who signed it; Iran, Iraq, Libya and Iran violate it while calling for Israel's destruction and racing to develop atomic weapons to that end.” ~ Benjamin Netanyahu
