Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the royal knot today; by the time you read this, it will be history, but the pomp and circumstance will likely continue throughout the day.

Q. It has always puzzled me why they have the Queen and the Monarchy in England when they don’t have any say-so in the government anymore. Why don’t they just stop that silly nonsense? (Brittany ~ Helena, MT)
A. Because there has yet to be a Prime Minister with the guts to fire them.
Q. Why is Obama going to Cape Canaveral for the shuttle launch? It’s not even the last shuttle launch and, besides, he’s the one who killed the shuttle program anyway. (Hank ~ Folsom, CA)
A. Because he’s running for reelection and he desperately needs some positive press.
Q. There are people saying that the birth certificate given by Obama is a fake. Will this never end? What do you think? (Chet ~ Red Bluff, CA)
A. I brought up that possibility the other day. I will say that the copy I have seen does not appear to me to be unaltered. Others seem to agree. However, there is also the possibility that a good, clean, real birth certificate was given out by Obama and that someone has taken that and altered it and circulated it on the internet to make us all think that Obama gave us a phony document. As consistently forthright, honest and forthcoming as Obama has been about other things, I certainly would not think that he would do something like that, would you?
