HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUMS ESCALATE AGAIN!

Health insurance customers are receiving notice, even in the middle of their contacted terms, that premiums are going up by as much as 22%.  This news comes despite the insistence from Obama that his new plan was going to cut costs.

COMMENTS:
In my case, my Medicare Supplemental Insurance with United World Life has gone up by 15%, a whopping $53.36 per quarter.  This is the biggest single increase to my healthcare in at least five years.  Social security recipients on fixed incomes with no raises in three years have seen their insurance premiums go up by as much as 50% during that period.  I’ll be damned if I should be paying for the health care of his welfare buddies.  Obama and his friends Reid and Pelosi can take their great, terrific health care plan and stick it.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q.  Joe Biden fell asleep during a Presidential speech?  (Qui ~ Monterey Park, CA)
A.  Yes, but it was excused.  He’s in training for his next job as an Air Traffic Controller.

Q.  Just what would happen if we didn’t raise the national debt ceiling?  (Miriam ~ Flagstaff, AZ)
A.  That would force Congress into coming up with a balanced budget, pronto.  That’s why either party is willing to raise the ceiling, because they’re not serious about balancing the budget.  And, they just got a serious warning from S&P about our debt.  Yes, we got a lot done last November, but we have a helluva lot more to do next year.

Q.  Ever since this damned Tea Party movement got started, all we’ve had is turmoil in Congress.  Why don’t they dry up and blow away?  They should be outlawed.  (Webster ~ Los Angeles, CA)
A.  I get a few emails like this, and most of them come from residents in mental institutions.
