COMMENTS:
Let’s quit misinforming and disinforming. Yes, I am a small business owner and yes, I got the notice that I might qualify for a tax break; however, the cost of providing any employee insurance will far exceed any tax benefit, according to my insurance provider. As for the $250 benefit on my prescriptions, that could more than disappear in one month through the costs of prescriptions that Medicare will no longer cover. But, don’t cut the hyperbole and start telling the truth, Mr. President, because there are not too many people left anymore who pay attention to a word that you say, except Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. In this day and age, don’t we expect all politicians to be liars? (Adele ~ Santa Clarita, CA)A. Those may be your expectations, but they are not mine. With all of the taxes I pay every year, I expect our elected politicians to be truthful, ethical, responsible and beyond corruption. Until we all raise our standards back to that level, we don’t stand a chance of straightening this country out.
Q. What’s your opinion about the high school kids wearing patriotic American shirts to school on Cinco de Mayo? (Skip ~ Bellingham, WA)
A. Any time you have a segment of society trying to intimidate others against being patriotic, something is upside down in this country. I don’t suppose the kid who was wearing a Che Guevara T-Shirt got into trouble, did he? What in the Sam Hell are our priorities in this country?
Q. Isn’t there some way we force the media and the press to give us facts instead of outright propaganda? (Fernando ~ Van Nuys, CA)
A. Quit watching them. Quit buying their publications. Quit buying goods and services from companies that advertise with them. Would a nicotine patch help?
