ADMINISTRATION SEEKS TO CONTROL INTERNET

The Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative said Wednesday today it strongly supports testimony by Reps. Barney Frank (D-MA) and Jim McDermott (D-WA) on the ability to regulate online gambling to protect consumers, collect billions in new government revenue and create thousands of new jobs in the U.S.

COMMENTS:
While that sounds innocuous enough and while it may win a lot of positive attention from those who justifiably believe that internet gambling is a social illness, this is a thinly disguised attempt at full control of the internet; Obama and cohorts believe that they have the right to regulate what is said and who says it. The FCC is now pushing for “net neutrality” at the behest of the Czars over at the White House. They say that, before I publish something critical of the President, I should be required to either give space on my blogs to opposing views or provide links to websites most likely to have opposing views. I don’t think they understand: we are not going to put up with any infringement of our freedom of speech, and we are prepared to do whatever is necessary to defend it.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why don’t you ever have anything good to say about Obama or his administration? (Velma ~ Norman, OK)
A. Because I can’t think of anything they’ve done that’s been good for the country. Besides, in their words, I’m a right-wing extremist terrorist who wants Obama out because I’m also a radical racist, former military-type senior citizen gun owner with a bad case of patriotism.  And, now that I think of it, I also use salt.

Q. What’s all of this fuss over Barack Hussein Obama’s name? (Haley ~ Grimes, CA)
A. He wants to change it to Bill Smith and all of the Smiths are ticked off.

Q. I’m confused. The oil leak has been 100,000 gallons per day and now they’re saying it would “only” fill 102 gyms? What does all of this mean? (Wally ~ Alturas, CA)
A. 102 NBA gyms with 18,000 seats each? You can bet whatever they say is a flagrant lie. As far as I am concerned, one gallon is one gallon too many. If I want my fish fried in oil, I’d prefer virgin olive oil.
