FANNIE MAE WANTS MORE BILLIONS

Fannie Mae lost $13.1 billion in the first quarter of 2010 and has requested an immediate transfer of $8.4 billion in more cash from the government. The company blamed the heavy losses on credit-related expenses that remain “at elevated levels” due to weakness in the U.S. economy and the housing market. In the meanwhile, and with no fanfare, the Federal Reserve late Sunday opened a program to ship U.S. dollars to Europe in a move to head off a broader financial crisis on the continent.

COMMENTS:
Weakness in the U.S. economy and housing market? The Euro needs propping up?  Blasphemy! Sheer blasphemy against the Messiah and his words of “the economy has recovered.” Someone’s head should roll!  Quick, Timmy my boy, cut those guys a check and shut them up! Don’t let the Tea Parties know about this!

My fellow Americans, how many warnings do we need?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What happened to the Post Office idea of cutting service back to five days a week? (Tonya – Truckee, CA)
A. The Postal Service has referred its proposal to the Postal Regulatory Commission. You don’t suppose that, when Obama Care runs into a sea of red ink that they are going to cut back medical services, do you? Doesn’t that give you a clue as to what is going to happen to us under this illustrious new health care plan that is already way over budget before it gets out of the gate?

Q. What do you think about Obama’s new pick for the Supreme Court? (Miguel ~ San Ysidro, CA)
A. We don’t have the slightest idea what her rulings are going to look like because she has never sat on a bench anywhere. Because she is going to end up sitting in a Court that is going to decide on Health Care Bill, I’d really like to know more about her views on the rights of states and individuals. But, in the final analysis, I don’t think there is a single soul in Washington who gives a damn about what you or I think.

Q. You write several blogs critical of President Obama, his Administration and some Congressional leaders. What do you think about Obama’s recent attacks against “some” bloggers? (Elayne ~ Olympia, WA)
A. Whatever freedom of speech you cannot control, eliminate? If the truth is inconvenient, silence it? Keep Guantanamo open in case you have to start taking political prisoners? "Too much information is a distraction?" "Shut up and get out of the way?"
