BLOOMBERG STARTS NATIONAL GUN CONTROL RHETORIC

During hearings by the Senate Homeland Security Committee, New York City Mayor Michael Blumberg and his Police Commissioner Ray Kelly used the attempted Times Square Bombing as a platform to call for national gun control yesterday. "When it comes to reasonable restrictions, which the Supreme Court said are acceptable and consistent with the Second Amendment, I think this is a reasonable restriction," Mayor Bloomberg said.

COMMENTS:
I don’t know that the bomber even owned a gun. He had constructed a bomb. Guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens prevent crime; the statistics overwhelmingly support that statement. By using this near-disaster to call for national gun control shows what their agendas are. They are not Americans; they are totalitarians.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Should the Times Square Bomber have been read his Miranda Rights? (Harry ~ Anderson, CA)
A. I’m not a subscriber to the Miranda Rights in the first place; they just give a criminal something to hide behind. However, it is the rule of law in this country and the bomber is a United States citizen. He should have been read his rights. The Christmas Day Bomber is not a U.S. citizen and should not have been read his Miranda Rights because he had no U.S. rights to begin with.

Q. Is it really possible that this country could erupt in anarchy? (Celine ~ Joplin, MO)
A. Yes, it could; but I think that would actually play into the hands of those who want to overthrow our government. I tend to believe that we will soon march on Washington in peaceful, but forceful demonstrations designed to restore our country to Constitutional rule, with equal liberty and justice for all.

Q. Obama has said that he wants small business owners to start hiring. Why aren’t you? (Maggie ~ Los Angeles, CA)
A. Speaking as an American small business owner, I do not have to do what Obama says; that’s first and foremost. My gross income is down, my taxes are up, the economy is again on the verge of collapse, my government is corrupt, and I have no idea how much Cap & Trade and the Health Care Plan are going to impact my business. He, Barack Hussein Obama, is the one person who should be leading us out of this abyss instead of trying to oppress us further into it.
