Over four years after the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami and
resulting nuclear plant disaster in Japan, Toshiba has come up with a remote
controlled robot that will enter the Unit 2 Reactor to determine the full
extent of the damage and what has to be done to further mitigate the intense radiation
issues.
COMMENTS:
Some nuclear sites are slated to start coming back on line
starting in August. It is estimated that
it may be several decades before the site is totally cleaned up. In the meantime, Japan is developing and
installing a 10-megawatt offshore wind turbine and may follow with more.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. How do you feel about the NBC firing of Donald Trump for
his remarks about illegal Mexicans? (Tanner ~ Salt Lake City, UT)
A. NBC is a totally liberal network and therefore has every
right to do what it wants with its employees, including censorship. I further believe that, if they have weight
and appearance standards for their “on-the-air” staff, they have the right to
require a pregnant female to have an abortion or be fired. Don’t you agree?
Q. Huckabee says that since Obama decked out the White House
in gay pride colors, he would have the right as president to display a nativity
scene on the White House lawn. Do you
concur? (Stella ~ Reno, NV)
A. We conservative Christians and Jews have no rights; we
gave them up when we and our churches refused to stand up and stop the radical
left-wing liberal agenda. And, if you
think we can straighten things out after we elect a more conservative
president, you are six bricks short of a full-load; you have to pry the liberal
thinkers out of Congress and the Supreme Court as well. Sorry to say this, but your rights are gone…
aren’t they?
Q. Do you think Chris Christie will bomb? (Paige ~ Crescent City, CA)
A. I don’t see his candidacy getting out of town; it'll probably get stuck in traffic on the nearest bridge.
