OBAMA AFTER SHOOTING: “HAPPY RAMADAN”

Just hours after the Chattanooga shooting rampage and after it was known who the shooter was, Obama sent out a Tweet with wishes for a happy Ramadan.  Then, before addressing the horrible tragedy, he went into a condescending lecture about “respect for Islam.”

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think, like Rand Paul does, that we should be restricting immigration from Muslim nations?  (Iris ~ Quincy, CA)
A. What about Muslims from France, Germany and Canada?  How do you distinguish a Muslim by the name of Bill Smith from Canada who converted from Christianity and was radicalized?  The words may sound nice, but they are impractical.  I do believe that we should be exercising more control and having more background information on anyone coming into the country, whether they plan to immigrate here or not.  Besides, if we had done like Paul suggests, Obama might never have been allowed into the country and that would have been such a loss…

Q. Donald Trump is saying we should boycott Mexico.  How do you feel about that?  (Roman ~ Moscow, ID)
A. Where are we going to get our lettuce, frijoles, tostadas, burritos, tortillas and refried beans? We’re setting ourselves up for starvation!  And, how are we going to get our car parts?  I don’t disagree with the objective, but again I say it’s impractical.

Q. With all of those Republican candidates denouncing Trump in the immigration issue, why hasn’t Trump changed his tune?  (Basil ~ Mountain View, CA)
A. Because he believes in his stance.  I have to presume that those decrying his vocalism on the issue really believe that illegal immigration is acceptable.
