A close examination shows the central figure to be a white
pioneer dressed in work clothes, wearing a wide-brim hat and pushing a plow. He
is an iconic image of a hardworking, rugged individualist who works alone to
chop the trees, plow the land and protect his home. He is looking over his
shoulder at an Indian, who is riding a horse and holding a spear. Liberals want the flag to come down because
the figure of the Indian is “racist” and the worker is white.
COMMENTS:
Well, if they take down the flag, I know where they can stick the pole.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What is your position on the open carry of guns? (Hetty ~ Weaverville, CA)
A. With the exceptions of moving a gun from house to car to
gun range, or on the gun range, or while hunting… I’m against it. The open display of guns is to me an open
invitation for trouble. It’s
intimidating, threatening activity that is offensive to an organized
society. Now, concealed carry… that I’m
100% in favor of; I think every able-bodied, like-minded, capable gun owner
should have a gun on them at all times... even during sex. That’s just soooo exciting…
Q. My God, now we have 15 Republican candidates! How do we choose? (Alonso ~ Albuquerque, NM)
A. They’re all great; I like some of them less than others,
of course, but they’re all qualified for the job. Wouldn’t it be great if, out of all of them,
we got a president, vice president and a cabinet? That’s probably what it will take to even begin to clean up the damage cause by
Obama and his goombahs.
Q. Do you think the recent “computer glitches” at United
Airlines and Wall Street were coincidences or as a result of a cyberattack? (Octavia ~ Thermal, CA)
A. As old as both systems are, I’d lean in favor of an
internal hardware or software problem.
Bear in mind that United’s system was originally used by the Wright Brothers
and the Wall Street system was designed by Benjamin Franklin.
